Essentially we paid twice for x rays because they were not clear enough at Bowmanville. I am not sure if they have newer equipment now but that was a large expense.

Staff was so kind squeezing an appointment in over the weekend for my dog even though I wasn't a client.

They truly care about the animals they treat - when my dog couldn't walk and needed a shot for pain so we could get her to a facility with an MRi, one doctor came out to the car, gave her the shot, then remained there for 10 minutes to make sure she didn't have a reaction to it. They will go above and beyond to ensure your pets safety.

Took my bunny here for the first time for a suspected ear infection as I could not take him to our regular vet. Started out pretty good as the staff indeed is very kind and eager to help...however...once it came to hold my bunny they were struggling with him in a way that a vet clinic should not. He almost fell off the table. So after that he was super stressed and so was i. They had to keep him in his carrier to do the exam. And he isn't a struggler as at our vet this has never been an issue. The diagnosis was infection in the left ear...i was told the right ear was clear (Took a swab and no infection was found or so they said) He got drops and we left. I called the next Day with some questions . Again no complaint on that as they called back right away. I asked if the spreading of the infection to the other ear should be a concern and I was told no. I had the nagging feeling that this was not handled well so I took time off work (which I should have done in the first place) and took my bun to our vet. Turns out his left ear is clear and his right is super infected with puss and stuff. Not sure if they mixed up the ears or just didn't look well enough in the right ear. Don't think the infection in the right ear can start up and get so bad in less than a week.

So far my experience has not been in person but with the vets and staff over the phone. I live a few hours away and my concern for my animals has been dealt with over the phone politely and knowledgeably more than once. I will change this review if I feel the need upon finally meeting the so-far-wonderful staff but at this juncture I feel my concerns and my animal's welfare have been very well seen to.

They are very kind with the animals there and can't really complain about the service I have had with my dog.

I would recommend going straight to OVC for exotics where possible to cut costs.

I paid 100 less at my old vet than here for essentially the same thing but basically to correct their mistake. I'm mad just thinking about how bad it would have been if the right ear were to have gotten worse. The staff and clinic are both very nice but I just think our situation was mishandled which is why I still give the place 3 stars and not less.

**visit 2 edit ** as mentioned above I sort of knew that our sort of negative experience was a fluke. Bunny needed emergency care and the clinic was quick to see us without an appointment first thing in the morning and took our concerns seriously even though the emergency vet clinics of the area wouldn't see him and told us to wait for a vet clinic to open. I have said it beige too that the staff us super friendly and bunny was handled really well this time and while I was scared he was actually doing really well and his exam went down without a hitch. So I give credit where it is due the rating has been changed to a deserved 5 star. And while we will keep with our regular vet for regular check ups this clinic will be our go to for anything that needs a quick response. :)

Great practice but the prices are a bit on the higher end.

I will say that a couple of years ago I had x rays done on my parrot and was referred to OVC in Guelph due to a fracture. OVC needed to redo the x rays as they were not clear enough (not digital).
