  For a small fee, I was able to attend both of my parent's cremations at the Bowmanville crematorium on Haines Road in Bowmanville. It's a family run business with exceptional staff, including the owner, assisting in the cremations. They provide an invaluable service to the community and should be acknowledged for their hard work and dedication. I was there to recently to bid my father goodbye in person. This family deserves an award for their commitment. There's no charge for infants or children and that's one less thing a grieving family has to worry about. I bet anyone reading this didn't even know this request was possible. The place is spotless and, of course, highly regulated by the MOE. Do away with the Hollywood myth that crematoriums are just plain creepy. I know because I was there, and fortunate to have had the opportunity to be the last person to assist personally in my parent's cremations.
